BISHOP OF WAIKATO

NO HOLIDAY FOR 15 YEARS. / DIOCESAN ARRANGEMENTS. The Bishop of Waikato, who will leave for England on February 14, expects to be absent from the diocese until November. “I am going partly to attend the Lambeth Conference, partly <.to fulfil many preaching engagements, and partly because I have not had a holiday since 1915,” states his Lordship in a letter appearing in the latest issue of the Diocesan Magazine. “I am taking one in order to gain fresh strength and vigour for the work to which I have been called.” In England the Bishop’s address will be “University of London Club, Gower Street, London, E.C.” During his Lordship’s absence the diocese will be administered by the Ven. G. Gordon Bell, Archdeacon of Waikato and vicar of Cambridge. As Vicar-General of the diocese the Archdeacon will preside over the next sittings of Synod and Standing Committee' and over such other committees as the Bishop may appoint.
