WOMAN’S BODY BECOVERED.' By Telegraph.—Press Association Oamaru, Jan. 24. The body of Mrs. Matheson, who was entombed in a coalmine on the property of her husband, Dr. Matheson, was recovered at 6 o’clock' this morning. Airs. Matheson .took refreshments to the miners and had entered about a chain into the shaft when a Jail of earth occurred. A miner went to the Waitaki hydro works for help, and 100 men assisted in the rescue work. They had progressed a short 'distance when another fall occurred.
