BUSINESS ..OF MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting-of the Taranaki Land Board was held: on Wednesday .and Thursday, Mr. W, D. Armit presiding. An application by-Mr. J. McNeill for permission to subdivide his E.R. • Lease over Sections 1689, etc., town of New Plymouth, was approved at the rental specified. The report. of ■ the arbitrators in regard to the renewals of the E.R. Leases over Sections 11 arid 12, Block 11., Ngaire Survey District, was received. Mr. F. H, Brett was appointed arbitrator in regard to the renewals of the E.R. Leases over Section 210, Town of New Plymouth, Section 200, Town of New Plymouth and Lots 1 and 2 of Section 202, Town of New Plymouth. An application by Mr. G.‘W, Milham for permission to subdivide his E.R. Lease over Section 519, Town of New Plymouth, was approved. It was decided to adjourn consideration of the following transfers until next meeting:—Section 23, Block XVL, Egmont, B. F; Rea to F. F. W. Belk; Section 18, Block XVI., Egmont, R. Bregmen to H. Wiggins; Section 14, Block XIII., Cape, A. Lawn to W. Lawn. Thirty applications under the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act were submitted for consideration, and of . these three applications for the purchase of abandoned farms were approved, two applications for current account advances were recommended,'one deferred and one refused; four applications for exemption from residence were approved and two applications to' transfer were recommended.
