FOUR SWIMMERS IN PERIL

HEROIC RESCUE AT WARRABEEN.

CURRENT AND SHARKS IGNORED.

By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.

Sydney, Dee. 28. There was a sensation at the Warrabcen beach when four bathers were caught by the current and carried out simultaneously. A large shark was seen cruising round. Life-savers courageous; ly donned belts and succeeded in reaching those in trouble, but the lines were severed by jagged rocks and the lifesavers discarded their belts and brought the patients ashore.

Two sharks were caught in the harbour yesterday, one at Newington, where children were swimming only a few minutes before.
