INTOXICATED MOTORISTS
FESTIVE SEASON NO DEFENCE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Wellington, December 27.
The season’s festivities cost two more drivers their licenses for 12 months today. George Inglis, a marine engineer, was one, and he was also fined £lO. Alfred G. Y. Baxter, the other, was fined £2O. Baxter’s condition was discovered as the result of his colliding with another car.
The justices on the Bench remarked, on the plea that some consideration should be extended owing to the season, that drink and motoring should not go together. Drivers should leave it alone.
