The ‘ annual -contest for the Christie {Shield commenced at Manaia yesterday. Eight rinks participated and the first and second rounds were completed. The third round and finals will be completed to-day. The shield was presented by Mr. A. H. Christie in 1920 for competition among the clubs which were then. |n the western division. ■. ■ ’ .
