IMPROVEMENT ON ROCKET CAR. By Teieijiarh—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, Dee. 23. Max Valier, testing his recoil automobile, driven by liquid fuel instead of rockets, exceeding GO miles an hour. The driver is seated in the middle of the car and four tanks, containing a mixture of liquid oxygen and benzine, are situated in front of the driver and two behind. It is stated that the car is a great improvement on the rocket car. In earlier trials Valier propelled his rocket by recoil action by means of the explosion of compressed carbofftc acid gas. The car was towed by an ordinary car until it reached a speed of 30 miles an hour and then uncoupled. Valier carried on, reaching a speed from 50 to 60 -miles an hour over a considerable distance of the road.
