MOTUROA SCHOOL SPORTS

BOY AN'D GIRL CHAMPIONS H. BROUGHTON AND K. SKIPPER. E. CHRISTENSEN DUX FOR YEAR. The annual sports of the Moturoa school were held on the school grounds : yesterday, when keen interest was taken in the events. In some cases good form was shown. The school was divided into senior, intermediate and junior groups, while a special programme was arranged for the infant department. The children who gained points will be nominated for the North Taranaki primary school sports, to be held at Pukekura Park in March. He was closely followed by lona Maine and Claude Pulford. Christensen captained the school football team this year, while last year he held a similar position in the cricket team. A Christmas tree has been provided for the infants, the committee and Mrs. Manning having given toys and Mr. Brotheridge biscuits and peanuts.
