ROCKET CAR TRIALS
SPEED EXCEEDS FIFTY MILES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Berlin, Noy. 30. Max Valier undertook further trials of the rocket ear, which is driven by recoil action by means of the explosion of compressed carbonic acid gas. The car was towed by an ordinary car till a speed of 30 miles an hour was attained. Then it was uncoupled and Valier carried on, reaching a speed of 50 to 60 miles over a considerable distance of road.
