WARNING TO BOOKMAKERS
COURT PROMISES HEAVIER FINES. By Telecraph.—Press Association. Marton, Nov. 30. The third conviction for bookmaking secured within a month was recorded to-day, Alfred Kaye being fined £25 for using his residence as a common gaming house. ' The police stated that they were determined to stop the practice and the Bench issued a warning that the fines in future would be much more severe.
