COAL MINING DEADLOCK S PARTIES QUITE FRIENDLY FINANCIAL AID CLAIMED ‘ft By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright, Rcc. 5.5 p.m. Canberra, Nov. 24. ft The coal deadlock is still unsettled. Yesterday’s conference of parties adjourned till Wednesday. Meanwhile the. ■■■ miners’ representatives will report theft' proposals discussed to their executives on Tuesday. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. H. Scullin, • announced he was hopeful of a success- A ful outcome as the parties were quite friendly. The New South Wales Government. had agreed to abstain from reopening the Rothbury colliery until after Wednesday. It is reliably reported that the miners’ representatives are bringing pressure on’’ the Federal Ministry to advance financial aid to miners in order to obviate' wage reduction.
