R101 FLIGHT POSTPONED

PARLIAMENTARIAN DISAPPOINTED By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11.5 p.m. London, Nov. 24. Members of Parliament were again disappointed in their proposed trip in the airship RlOl. Heavy rain and a gale deterred many from going to Cardington; others took the chance. The first hitch was when the weight connected with the lift became detached and the lift was put out of action. At last 25 guests, climbed the 314 steps in order to board the airship, where everybody lunched satisfactorily. It was then announced that the trip would be abandoned, firstly owing to the rain, which so weighted the envelope that with such a large party the ship might bo overburdened; secondly, because if the gale persisted it might be difficult to moor the airship again. The final decision was left with Lord Thomson, Air Minister, who wired his apologies but said that in the circumstances the flight must be postponed.
