TRADE WITHIN THE EMPIRE
QUESTIONS BEFORE CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright London, Nov. 22. Speaking at Leicester, Sir Gilbert Vyle said the question of trade within the Empire seemed likely to be little before the Imperial Conference except as a system of bargaining between representatives. No Empire policy had been enunciated by the British Chambers of Commerce. A committee was studying the difficult questions'likely to appear on the agenda paper of the 1930 conference. Sir Gilbert hoped the Dominions would establish similar committees and send representatives to confer in London before the Imperial conference.
