COLLAPSE OF MR. A. F. LOWEK •& By Telegraph.—Press Association. J Taihape, Last Night. The clerk of Parliament, Mr. A. F. Lowe, C.M.G., died in the Auckland-bound ex- Y press at Mangaweka shortly after midnight last night. Mr. Lowe became unwell at Hunterville while reclining in a sleeper. A fellow- ■: passenger. called the guard, who searched the train unsuccessfully for a doctor. The train was stopped at Mangaweka and Dr. Mac Diarmid, Taihape, was notified to await the arrival of the train. ■. -? The body was removed to the Taihape Hospital. An inquest may be unnecessary on receipt of a certificate from Mr. Lowe’s doctor in Wellington. Mrs. Lowe was on the train.
