THEFT OF BICYCLE

COURT DEFERS SENTENCE. Two charges against a youth named J. James of stealing a bicycle valued at £lO 6s 3d, the property of the Farmers’ Trading Company, Auckland, and. ss, the property of F. J. Shearer, were' heard by Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., at the New Plymouth Court yesterday. Senior-Sergeant McCrorie stated the. case for the police and James pleaded guilty, electing to be deal/ with summarily. Senior-Sergeant McCrorie said there were charges pending at the Supreme Cojirt. James' was convicted on both charges and sentence was deferred until November 30.
