Wilford, > Minister .of .Justice and- Defence, .wlwjjs lias been appointed High Commissioner for New Zealand in London,, there is much speculation concerning the next appointment to fill the vacancy in the ■ Ministry. The Auckland Star is in a position to state that it is unlikely that any fresh appointment will be made till ■ shortly i before the 1930 session of Par-.. - liament. In the meantime the Hon. 1. K. Sidey, Leader of 'the Legislative < Council and Attorney-General, - will?;; probably take the portfolio of justice and one of the present Ministers will take, temporary charge of the Defence.
