Lora Craigavon said he-observed among those: present the children of his dearest friend>- ■ the late Mr. Massey. The title deeds of 30 acres of land in. the Avondale'borough were handed by . Mrs. W. H. Smith to Lord Craigavon, who then placed them in’the possession • _ of the Mayor. Mrs. Smith said she desired the land to be used, as a park to be ..known Craigavon Park. She was tendering to commemorate Lord Craigavon b visit - and to keep an honoured Ulster name forever a part of Auckland. .
