NEW PLYMOUTH-ONEHUNGA FERRY.

The Ngapuhi arrived at New Plymouth from Onehunga yesterday morning with passengers and cargo and returned north last night. She is due at New Plymouth again from Onehunga to-mor-row and will leave New Plymouth the same day for Wellington, where she is to go on the slip for cleaning and painting on Friday. The Ngapuhi is due back at New Plymouth from Wellington on Saturday morning and will sail the same night for Onehunga.

PORT HOBART LOADS FOR BRITAIN

The Commonwealth and Dominion Line Port Hobart arrived at New Plymouth from Launceston yesterday afternoon and was berthed at the Newton King wharf to commence loading for Great Britain. The vessel will lift 20,000 boxes of butter, 10,000 crates of cheese and B'soo freight carcases of meat and is expected to sail for Napier on Friday or Saturday. ’ She will continue loading -there and at Gisborne, Wanganui and Auckland, which she should clear on December 10 for London and west coast of Britain ports.

KAPONGA TO LEAVE ADELAIDE.

The Union Company’s steamer Kaponga is scheduled to leave Adelaide tomorrow for New Zealand ports via Melbourne. The vessel has general Australian cargo for discharge at Auckland, Portland, New Plymouth, Tarakohe and Lyttelton. The Kaponga is due here early in December with about 550 tons to discharge. DALVEEN DUE AUCKLAND TO-DAY. Wireless advice has been received in Auckland from the steamer Dalveen stating that she will arrive at Auckland from Galveston, Texas, at 6 o’clock this morning; The vessel has a full cargo, of sulphur. She will discharge a quantity at Auckland and the remainder at New Plymouth, Newcastle, Sydney, Geelong and Adelaide. The vessel is due at New Plymouth about the middle of next week to put out 750 tons. WAIRUNA LEAVES LOS ANGELES. sailed from Los Angeles at noon on Saturday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Napier. She is due at Lyttelton on December 12 and at New Plymouth early in January. PORT MELBOURNE ON WAY HOME. Cabled news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Melbourne left Montevideo on Saturday for London, en route ‘from Wellington. She is due at London on December 4. The vessel was at New Plymouth about the middle of September and loaded 11,590 boxes of butter, 10,000 crates of cheese and 14,000 freight carcases of meat. GENERAL CARGO FROM SYDNEY. The Kairanga sailed from Sydney on Friday night with general cargo for New Zealand. The cargo was to have been brought to Auckland by the Mararna, which was diverted to Wellington. The Kairanga is expected to arrive at Auckland to-morrow. RUAHINE BRINGING LONDON CARGO The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine, which is due at Wellington from London on December 2,. will discharge her general" iherchandis’e cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton Port Chalmers, Timaru and Wanganui. Afterwards the vessel will load for her homeward voyage at Tokornaru Bay, Auckland and Napier. She is scheduled to arrive at Auckland. on December 23 and to sail from Napier for London on January 4. TOFUA FROM APIA FOR AUdvLAND The Union Compny’s Island steamer Tofua sailed from Apia at’ noon on Saturday on her return trip to Suva and Auckland. The vessel is scheduled to clear Suva to-morrow and to reach Auckland next Monday. ’ PHOSPHATES FROM CASABLANCA. The steamer Rommey, 5840 tens, has, been chartered to load a phosphate cargo at Casablanca, Morocco, for New Zea-, land or Australia. VALACIA TO LOAD AT NEW YORK. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line advises that the steamer Valacia is scheduled to load at New York during the second half of December for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. NEW VESSEL FOR COAST TRADE. A small motor vessel for New Zealand was launched nt Leith, Scotland, on October 1. The vessel has been named the Port Waikato and was built by Messrs. Henry Robb for Captain A. F. Watehlin and Company, Auckland. The Port Waikato is 180 ft. in length, b.p., by 28ft. in breadth, moulder, by 13ft. 3in. in depth. She is constructed to carry 850 tons deadweight. It is understood that the Port Waikato is for use in the New Zealand coastal trade. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
