OKATO. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Despite counter attractions, the dance organised by the hall committee on Thursday was well attended, with satisfactory results financially. Music for the evening was supplied by the magnavox, while Mr. L. O'Sullivan made an efficient M.C. A very pleasant function took place at the vicarage on Friday night, when about 30 boys and young men werQ. entertained at a social evening. The vicar was assisted by Mr. Sinclair, Misses Walton, and A. Corbett, and a thoroughly enjoyable time was spent. A tasty supper was provided, and before dispersing, Mr. M. Payne, on behalf of the guests, thanked Rev. Adams and his helpers for the very pleasant evening and for the interest socially which lie is taking in the young people of the district.

Last week, while attending machinery at the factory, Mr. Ted Stewart sustained painful injuries to his hand, which will prevent him from working for some time.
