MAHENO’S ENGINE DISABLED

The Maheno, which arrived to-day a day late from Auckland, will dock tomorrow for repairs to a damaged turbine. Repairs will occupy at least a fortnight. Later the vessel will undergo a complete overhaul. The Maheno will be replaced on the New Zealand-Sydney run by the Maunganui and the Maheno will then enter the Melbourne-Wellington service. The Marama will take the Maheno’s passengers next Friday, sailing for Wellington instead of Auckland, and the Marama’s passengers will sail by the Aorangi for Auckland to-morrow
