TOM ALLEY DEFEATS JOHANSSON. . k By Telegraph.—Press Asssoclatlon. Palmerston N., Last Night. In a professional wrestling contest, the first staged by the newly-formed Palmerston North Wrestling Association, Tom Alley (U.S.A.) defeated Walter Johansson (Finland) in the sixth round. Wrestling with science and vigour, . ...a:i"ou had the better of the first four rounds and obtained, the first fall, but Alley used blows with the side of the hand against the Finn’s neck and took the next two falls. Johansson appeared dazed by the blows and the last fall was obtained with comparative ease. It was announced that Alley will be matched with Clarence Eklund at Palmerston North on December 22.
