SCIENTISTS ABOOARD DISCOVERY. TO LEAVE CAPETOWN SATURDAY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, Oct. 13. The carpenters were putting the finishing touches to the Discovery when Sir Douglas Alawson quietly boarded the vessel accompanied by seven scientists, completed the full complement of 40. Those approached showed themselves unwilling further to discuss the Norwegian activities, beyond saying that, while they welcomed scientific co-opera-tion, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa were primarily interested in the areas in which they are carrying out research. The Discovery will leave at noon on Saturday.
