WHALING MASTER INJURED
ANCHOR FALLS ON MAN’S THIGH. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 14. While Captain H. Sorenson, master of one of the Kosmos’ whale chasers, was superintending operations previous to the departure, an anchor fell upon him and injured his left thigh. To all appearances he would have to be left behind, but the hospital authorities decided that, as the Kosmos had a surgeon aboard, Captain Sorenson might be allowed to leave under his care.
