WRESTLER’S ARM BROKEN

SENSATIONAL AUCKLAND BOUT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last' Night. There was a sensational ending to the professional wrestling contest in the Town Hall to-night between Tom Alley and Naraijan Singh, Alley breaking the Indian’s right arm in the third round by means of a hammer-lock. The Indian was taken to hospital, where a more minute examination revealed that the arm was fractured in two places between the elbow and shoulder. The contest aroused tremendous interest as neither man had hitherto been defeated in New Zealand. The Town Hall was packed to overflowing and standing room was at a premium. Alley obtained a submission fall in the second round with a standing hammerlock and won the contest with a similar hold in the succeeding round when the Indian’s arm was broken.
