Richards and Mrs. Jeffries motored to Auckland this week, * * o » On Monday night Mrs. J. Lyons was hostess at a bridge party for Mr. Norman (Singapore). Those present were Mr. and Mrs. L. Curtis, Mr. and Mrsr A. Colenitm, Mr. and Mrs. D. Malone, Mr. and Mrs. Truby King, Mr. Norman, Mre. Hunt, Dr. and Mrs. Steven. Miss Cutfield (Auckland) is the guest of Mrs. Cutfield, Tutiilawa. * =» e =s> Miss Joan Coleman gave a bridge party during the week. Those present were Misses A. Uniacke, A. Riera, D. Meyrick (Hawera), M. Malone, C. Uniacke, M. Wright, M. Skoglund, N. Spence, G. Bailey (Hawera), S. Lyons, G. McLean (Hawera). *■ # * Mrs. L. Curtis entertained a number of friends at a party on Friday evening. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lyons, Mr. Norman (Singapore), Mrs. E. Young, Mrs. Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Uniacke, Miss Beale, Miss Redmond, Miss M. Malone. # ss # # A bridge party was given by Mrs. Cresswell on Tuesday, those present being Mrs. Truby King, Mrs. Outfield (Tututawa), Miss Cutfield (Auckland), J. Lyons, Malfroy, Malone, Miss Redmond. # « # * Mrs. 0. Curtis is visiting Hastings, where she will be the guest of her daughter Mrs. G. Clark. * « Mrs. Barr, New Plymouth, was a visitor to Stratford during the week. # * # to Mrs. Schofield, Christchurch, who has been the guest of Mrs. J. Masters, has returned home.
