HISTORIC CHURCH BURNED
By Tolegr.vp'h —Press Assn.—Co-pyrlg'h't. London, Oct. 9. Tho historic church at Bowden, in East Yorkshire, was partially destroyed by fire in the middle of the night. The tower, 135 feet high, was a landmark for miles around. The bells fell with a terrific crash and valuable stained glass windows were destroyed. A wild beast show in the market square had to rush for safety.
