Waipukurau, Last Night, Tho case in which the Waipawa County Council claimed under Section 173 of the Public Works Act from Charles McLeod, trading as the Waipawa Timber Company, £350 damages to roads caused by carting heavy logs during the winter months when the roads were closed to heavy traffic was finalised in the Waipawa Magistrate’s Court this morning, when Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., delivered judgment in favour of the complainants for the amount claimed, plus costs. As the matter is of importance to sawmillers generally an appeal will be made against the magistrate’s decision.
