Yesterday afternoon, in dull weather, the official opening of the Eltham Club’s green for the present" season took place, a large number of players including visitors from other clubs being present. The opening ceremony was performed ,by the president (Mr. J. W. Harrison), Mrs. Harrison playing the first jack. Play was continued duriiig the afternoon and the excellence of the green was generally remarked upon.
