COAL MINERS ON STRIKE

INTERNAL DISPUTE IN UNION. PAYMENT OF DUES IN QUESTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Reefton, Last Night. There is no change in the coal strike and the mines have now been idle for a week. ' During the week-end a boiler in No. 3 mine was blown out, it is thought, by explosives placed in a tube. No one was present and the origin of the explosion is a mystery. A message from Greymouth on September 30 stated the Blackball mines were idle and it was understood that it was a union dispute about dues. Several members had refused to pay them and the others declined to work with them.
