GREAT DECLINES IN NEW YORK. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, Oct. 3. The stock market collapsed late today. There w r as tremendous selling pressure and scores of high-priced issues, particularly public utilities, declined 5 to 70 dollars per'share, wiping out more than £300,000,000 .on the quoted value.
