London, Oct. 4, After 17 years in New Zealand, Abraham Black, aged 65, returned to Leeds, where he was instantly arrested for nonpayment of £360 arrears for his wife’s maintenance. He admitted that he migrated because he was fed up with his wife’s friendship with other men. He landed in New Zealand penniless and worked for two years feedings pigs in return for his keep. He was given l'sos when he left the job. He had had long illnesses. The magistrate ordered him to pay the arrears or serve three months ir> gaol.
