Paramount will soon release, in- New Zealand a notable talking and singing picture entitled “The Dance of Life.” Nancy Carroll and Hal Skelly play the leading roles in the production which is a talkie version of the famous stage success “Burlesque ” Many of the sequences. will be in technicolour. ## # , Typical “Two Black Crows” humour will be heard in the Paramount all-talk-ing picture, “Why Bring That Up?” which stars those famous artists. There are also a number of songs in production, notably “The Tlarly Bird” and “Shoo Shoo Boogy Boo,” an effective chorus number.
Harold Lloyd, the famous Paramount comedian, will talk for the first. time in his new picture “Welcome Danger, the dialogue version of which is, now In production in Hollywood. Lloyd states that the addition of dialogue has increased the comedy value-of the stoiy. The star is supported by Barbara Kent. * •’/«.- Gertrude Lawrence, the well-known , English star, has completed her first talking picture for Paramount, entitled , “lhe Gay Lady” at the Long. Island studios. Charles Ruggles, Walter Petrie and Jow King'arc featured in the cast.
