Bishop, Fitzroy, and William Oliver, elder son of Afr. and Airs. W. B, Brittcnden, Christchurch. The Rev. Stephens was the officiating minister, while Air. Renaud played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Air.' C. Bishop, was dressed in a dress of ivory georgette, taffeta and silver lace with silver shoes and stockings. Her beautiful embroidered veil, worn mop-cap fashion, hung in graceful lines to form her train. She carried a shower bouquet of freesias, , heather »and maidenhair fern tied with j silver streamers! The bride, who entered the church with her father; wore a gown of shell pink satin beaute and silk French lace to match. The frock was modelled with a deep flounce of lace inset with double scallop effect attached to a satin beaute corsage featuring a yoke and vestette of silk lace. The veil was of pale pink tulle richly

embroidered on a scalloped hem, and fell in a double dr.npe from a cap encircled with goffering and offset with a coronet of orange blossoms. A bouquet of pink hyacinths, sweet peas, roses, and asparagus fern was carried. The bridesmaids were Aliss Afarjorie Black, the bride’ssister, and Afiss Gwen Sparge, of Auck-’ land. They wore attractive frocks, made alike of Nile green georgette- with fourtiered knife-kilted skirts, and coatees draped to bows in the front and caught with riveted Kilted basques finished the coatees. Their oyster-grey georgette and silk lace straw hats were swathed with folds of rainbow georgette and trimmed with sprays of pink and 'green flowers on the un-derbrhng. Bouquets of deep pink- roses, sweet peas, heath, and hyacinths were carried. Little Floraneo Smart, the bride’s, cousin, was a Dolly Varden attendant, ami wore a frilled frock of Nile green georgette. A pretty wedding was solemnised at Knox Clnirch, Ellham, on September 17, when Kathleen, youngest daughter- of Mr. and Afrs. AV. H. Gilliver, was married to Keith Roy, youngest son of the late Air. and Airs. J. Hoskin, of New Plymouth. The Rev. J. A. Ryburn was the officiating minister, and Afiss Peters was at the- organ. Each carried bouquets of Iceland poppies and spring Inilbs, with maidenhair fern and primrose streamers. Little Afiss Nancy Coleman was flower girl. She wore apple-green crepe de chine with tightly fitting bodice and rose-petalled skirt, head-band of green tulle and primrose and green flowers, and carried a basket of spring -bulbs finished with large tulle bow on the handle. The duties of best man were ably carried out by. Air. H. Billing, and Afr. J.- Payne was groomsman. After the ceremony Air. and Airs. Gilliver entertained at a dainty breakfast at Sheehy’s, where the tables were-pret-tily deborated with spring flowers; Airs. Gilliver was frocked in navy silk rayon relieved with flame and hat to match and she carried a posy of violet and flame anemones and maidenhair fern. Airs. A’an de Water, sister of the bridegroom, wore saxe blue with rose-biege trimming, hat to match. Air. and Afrs. Hoskin left later by car for the north, the bride wearing >a blue- wool crepe de chine frock, - blue’coat with grey fur collar, and grey hat relieved with blue.

The wedding- rook place at St. Andrew's ‘Presbyterian Church, New Plymouth, on June' 4, of Norrien Grace, youngest daughter of the late Air. and Mrs. John Hoskin, and Horace Edward Nicholls, only’ son of Airs. Frizzell, The Rev. J.. D. McL. AVilson was Hie minister. The bride wore a frock of ivory georgette and silver lace, with veil and coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of freesias, azaleas and maidenhair fern tied with silver, ribbon. AA'hite satin shoes and stockings finished a pretty toilet. Her brother-in-law, Air. Van de Water, gave her away,. Hep.'bridesmaids were Aliss , ; Alary Kovaleski (chief) and Aliss Ka.te Kovaleski, friends of the bride. The former wore an cau de nil grieen-taffeta frock, made with tightly fitting bodice and full scalloped skirt, with tulle mob cap to match. ' The latter wore apricot taffeta made io -match. Silver shoes ami stockings completed each toilette. Each carried bouquets of freesias, love-in-fihe-mist and' stock and maidenhair fern, with silver streamers. The best man was Mr. Douglas Hoskin, nephew of the bride, and Air. Herbert Branding was groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at wedding breaklast at the Diggers’ Tearooms, Aloturoa, where the tables were beautifully decorated, and a silver bell hung over the bridal table. About SO guests were present'. A dance was held in the. evening. The bridegroom’s mother wore a saxe. blue repp frock with hat to match, and Mrs. Van de Water, sister of the bride, wore a saxe blue repp frock with flame trimmings and hat to match.
