SCHOOLMASTER FOUND DEAD
SHOT-GUN ALONGSIDE HIS BODY. By Teicgrapii.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Missed from his bed about 6 o’clock ibis morning, Frederick Christopher Braithwaite, aged 49, schoolmaster at Taniaki, was found by his eldest son lying dead in the yard of his home. Beside his body was a shot-gun. There was a wound in the left breast. The man was clad in pyjamas. It is stated that during the past few days Braithwaite has been in ill-health, but he had no other worries. Braithwaite leaves a wife and five children. An inquest was opened and-adjourned.
