The main Belgian railway system, like that of Germany, has passed from State to company control, and although'the Belgian National Railway Company was not established until August, 1026, the change has already effected remarkable improvements from the standpoint of revenue and economical . working, says the London Financial News. The official figures show a striking advance in earnings for the first six months of this year, as compared with the corresponding period of 1928.
