COASTAL ENGINEERS
AGREEMENT WITH SHIPOWNERS. By Tdegra.pSh.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A conference to-day between representatives of various coastal shipowners other than the Union Company, which has a separate agreement, and the Marine Engineers’ Institute, resulted in an agreement for a new award to take effect on November 1 and to have currency for two years. The terms of the new agreement do not provide for any increases in wages, but some minor improvements in working conditions have been adopted.
