The dead body of a woman, later identified as that of Maisie Hutton, aged ’ 19, on whose body there were marks be-, -j lieved to be of violence, was discovered -j in a flat at Darlinghurst to-day. The •' police are looking for the woman’s ac- > quaintance, who is a remittance man J from America. Maisie Hutton recently arrived from Queensland. Detectives have ascertained that > Maisie Hutton and several men women companions participated in „ a violent drinking orgy on Saturday night. Two women as well as Maisie were drug addicts and remains of of drugs were found in glass tumblers in the room. Another woman attempted to poison herself and her the police are trying to locate. The police opine that the indications of foul play on Maisie Hutton’s body and hands were due to pin scratches, probably caused during a fight or her death struggles. She recently married but parted from her husband.
