ALLEGED DEFECTIVE CAR
CLAIM FOR DAMAGES NON-SUITED. A reserved judgment of non-suit against the plaintiff was given in the New Plymouth Magistrate’s Court by Mr. R. W. Tate, SAL, yesterday in the case in which Dr. J. E. Faris, Inglewood, claimed £7l’ 10s. 6d from the Farmers’ Co-operative Organisation Society of New Zealand, Ltd., on account of an alleged defect in the lighting system of a motor-car purchased by him on May 1, 1929, and by fire a few days later. \ His conclusion after examining and reviewing the facts .in the case, said the magistrate, was that there was no defect in the car at the time of sale and purchase. Costs, disbursements and witnesses’ expenses were awarded the defendants, the decision of the amount being resrved. ' ' ' \ Mr. C. H. Weston appeared for the plaintiff and Mr. A. K. North for the defendant.
