FAIR TO CLOUDY WEATHER.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be mainly fair to fine, but cloudiness will increase more especially in the western and southern districts of the South Island, where rain is likely to develop soon. Conditions will pe cool tonight, but temperatures will become milder to-morrow. Moderate southerly winds are probable over the North Island; elsewhere there will be westerly to northerly winds, northerlies shortly becoming general and freshening from Cook Strait southward. Seas will be smooth to moderate generally but rising later on the west coast south of Cape Egmont. There will be variable winds at first in the northern portion of the eastern Tasman, but winds will soon be tending northerly with moderate sea.
