"MISS HOOK OF HOLLAND'’
FINAL PERFORMANCE TO-NIGHT. EARLIER PATRONS ENTHUSIASTIC ■ To-night for the last time the New Plymouth Operatic Society will stage “Miss Hook of Holland” in the Opera House. As predicted earlier in . the week, the reputation earned by the excellence of the production had been reflected, in the. box. office bookings, and intending patrons of to-night’s performance should at once book their seats at Colliers, where , there are still a number of good seats available. ' Happy phrases in praise of the opera at this stage are unnecessary. “Miss Hook of Holland” has spoken for itself, and the public are satisfied that no -more-eloquent assurance of an exceptional evening's entertainment than the convincing argument of past performances. If you have not been, ask your friends who have, and they cannot help but advise you to go. If you have already been, no additional exhortation is needed to entice you to come again. A riot of colour, action and melody in which all tunes have a true appeal, all quips and sallies have a point, and there is nothing but mirth and- riielody there you have “Miss Hook of Holland.” As .the overture is a very short one,-pat-rons are asked to be seated at 7.45 to-night, so as riot to miss the opening chorus, which is a very bright number.
