TALKIES IN NEW PLYMOUTH.
EVERYBODY’S PRODUCTION. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Some adverse criticism has been made about tho advent of the talkies at Everybody’s theatre. So 4ast night, in company with two ladies, I paid a visit to see and hear for myself, whether the criticism was warranted. We came away absolutely satisfied that it was a really enjoyable entertainment. In fact any one that could not enjoy it would be very hard to please. The artists taking part were distinctly heard, although we were sitting a good distance from the stage. To those who have not yet paid a visit to Everybody s theatre since the talkies have been installed, I would strongly recommend them to go and judge for themselves, and not be influenced by outside rumours. I am quite sure they will come away well satisfied with their evening's amusement, and will want to go again.—l am, etc., ‘WELL SATISFIED.” New Plymouth, Sept. 27.
