YOUNG MAN OF 17 PLEADS GUILTY.

By Telegraph.—Press Association

Dunedin, Sept. 2.

Further evidence of a large number of minor burglaries which lately have been perpetrated in Dunedin was forthcoming in the Police Court this morning when John Palmer, who will shortly be 18 years, pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking and entering dwellings stealing for the most part money and jewellery.

The offences have been committed within the last, two months and one of the suffering householders was George P. Dickinson, the ex All Black New Zealand representative cricketer, who was represented by Mr. A. C. Hanlon. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence, bail being allowed.’
