ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY
POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS.

Melbourne, Aug. 31. The police have arrested two men in connection with the Lake Colac hold-up, in which masked bandits attempted to rob a branch of the Bank of New South Wales. One is charged with shooting with intent to murder and the other with assaulting Elcoate, the bank manager, and an attempt to rob him while armed.
