YEAR'S OFFICERS ELECTED.

Wellington, Aug. 31.

• The New Zealand Institute of Accountants elected the following’officers: President, Mr. J. L. Arcus; vice-presi-dent, Mr. H. Bicknell; treasurer, Mr. Menzies; secretary, Mr. Morpeth; council, Messrs Bruce (Auckland), McCullock (Hawke’s Bay), Menzies (Wellington), Bicknell (Christchurch), Barr (Dunedin). Support was accorded the proposed establishment of a commercial library in connection with the .Wellington City Library, and it was agreed to set aside £lOO as a donation towards any commercial libraries in connection with municipal and other public libraries, the maximum amount to any one library to be £25.

Advantage of the expert direction of such libraries to students and others was strongly stressed.
