NEW PLYMOUTH HARRIERS

WEEKLY CROSS COUNTRY RACE.

The New Plymouth harriers held an enjoyable run from the showgrounds on Saturday. There were nineteen runners present. / The course was about seven .miles and ran across country as far as Corbett Road railway station, whence the pack made towards the main road and joined it near the Bell Block factory. Frorii this ,point it was go-as-you-please and the runners following the main road made fast time, against a head wind, back to the showgrounds. C. Head and T. W. Rawson were the first two to finish, followed closely by the rest of the pack. The club is holding its championships next Saturday at the racecourse and some good performances, especially among the juniors, are expected. The following runners have entered to date: Senior: H. J. Brown, H. J. N. Capon, ,M. F. Eaddy, H. S. Kingston, J. Haymer, A. S. Hunter, C. Head, R. Hoby, A. W. Lander, J. W. Palmer, C. Robertson, T. W.. Rawson, R. J. Smith, R. J. Stewart, J. Warner, R. B. Walsham; junior: P. Donohue, A. Eaddy, P. Greenlees, H. Hogarth, R. Haymer, G. Lander, W. H. Mackay, A. Thompson, Webster and Marshall.
