Dunedin, August 14.—Reported sales: New Zealand Breweries (debentures), 28s fid; Commercial Bank, 23s Gd. The Anglo-Continental Company advises that the butter and cheese market in London is unchanged, with a Rightly better feeling evident. Butter is quiet at 170 s to 1725. Cheese is dead with white at 85s to 86s, and coloured 89s to 90s.

STOCK SALES AT HAMILTON. INCREASED PRICES RULE. Hamilton, August 13. Competition was keen at the stock sale iu the Frankton yards to-day. There were smaller yardings of cattle and sheep than usual, and beef prices rose sharply. Fat sheep remained steady. There was an average .yarding of pigs, prices being in advance of those ruling last week. The auctioneers report as follows: — Dalgety and Company, Limited. —A moderate yarding of beef, and prices agaiu advanced on late rates. All good quality cattle sold at from 10s to 20s per head higher 1 than last week. Store cattle sold at very firm late rates. A small yaiuhig of fat sheep realised prices higher than last- week. There was only a small yarding of store sheep, which met with a very keen demand. Small two-tooth wethers made 28s fid, and mixed small hoggets 20s Gd. There was a medium yarding of fat pigs, with a large yarding of stores. Competition was keen fox’ all classes. Heavy baconers made £4 to £4 12s; medium baconers, £3 8s to £3 IGs; heavy porkers, £2 12s to £2 19s; light porkers, £2 5s to £2 8s; large stores, £1 10s to £2 4s; slips, £1 2s to £1 6s; weaners, 16s to £i; small weaners,'lls to 15s. Prime baconers averaged Sd per lb, while porkers realised 7d to 7RL per lb.
