WEEK-END GOLF MATCHES

ELTHAM SUCCESSFUL TWICE. An inter-club match on Saturday af ternoon between teams from the Eltham and the Manaia golf clubs resulted in a win for Eltham. The detailed scores are:— H. Casey and St. L. Reeves defeated McLeod and Armitage, 1 up. N. Phillips and Wills defeated Bannerman and McGregor, 1 up. R. Free and J. Candy defeated C. Davies and Ryan.

Fallows and Tiplady defeated Meuli and Watts, 2 up and 1.

E. Carter and W. Hill defeated Burke and Craig, 6 up and 4.

In another match in the week-end Between Eltham and Patea, Eltham won by 15 matches to three.

Details of the morning and afternoon rounds are:—

L. Quin and Dale defeated Reilly and G. Wills, 3 up and 2 to play, and lost 3 up and 2 to play. Stewart and Reeves defeated Findlay and Hunger 2 and 1, and lost 4 and 3. H. Casey and Phillips and Fraser and Torrens all square in the morning. Casey and J. Quin beat Fraser and Torrens 6 and 5 in the afternoon.

Wills and Clemow defeated Hughes and Jenkins 4 and 3, and 4 and 2.

Norton and De Launay defeated Pettigrew and Jones 3 and 2, and 7 and 6. O. Casey and Gibson defeated Honeyfleld and Harris, 3 up and 2 up. Darling and Fallowes defeated Mills and Pearce, 3 and 2 and 2 up. Free and Campbell defeated C. R. Honevfield and Mitchell. 1 up and all square. Ritter and Hill lost to Sheild and Edwards, 1 down and won 4 and 2. Fountaine and Chrystal defeated Glennie and Haddow, 4 and 3 and 5 arid 4.
