ROAD BELOW FLOOD LEVEL
RAISING AT FOXTON SOUGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Foxton, July 26. At last night’s meeting of tho Chamber of Commerce a resolution was passed calling the attention of the Highways Board to the necessity for raising the Wellington to Auckland main highway above the flood level on the halfmile section from' Whirokino bridge leading to Foxton. If this is completed it will obviate the necessity for through traffic to make a deviation of many jailes over the hill rpad.
