STATE COAL MINES IDLE
TROUBLE OVER MAN’S DISMISSAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Greymouth, July 2G. The Liverpool and James (State) mines were idle to-day owing to the dismissal of a miner for filling dirt mixed with the coal. The miners had been previously warned. This case is considered glaring. The cavil was due to be drawn yesterday but the union refused to allow it unless the dismissed miner was included. The management refused and the deadlock continues,
