The funeral of Mr. Hitchcock, victim of the Kookaburra tragedy during tho search for the Southern Cross, was impressive. Among the wreaths was one from the Southern Cross, which wirelessed instructions to a Perth florist. It boro a card inscribed: “Deep and sincere tribute to the gallant aviator who gave his life on .an errand of mercy in endeavouring to succour his fellow aviators in distress.”

The body of Lieutenant Keith Anderson lies in state at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church in the city to-day. The funeral service will be held at*. Mosman to-morrow morning. The airman will be buried with full military honours.
